WHAT KISA MEASURES
More Than Wavelength Measurement
Simultaneous wavelength and power monitoring for real-time insight into laser behavior
Wavelength
Track spectral drift and stability in real time.
power
Monitor fluctuations and operating conditions continuously.
APPLICATION NOTES
See KISA in Action
Dual Wavelength Interferometry
See how laser wavelength drift changes the measurement scale in dual-wavelength interferometry—and how continuous KISA monitoring makes these changes visible.
A nominal 640 nm diode laser was monitored over 17 hours to assess its effect on the synthetic wavelength when paired with a stabilized He-Ne reference. Continuous KISA measurements revealed drift corresponding to a synthetic-wavelength change of more than 1.4 µm.

Detecting Laser Mode Hops
Simultaneous wavelength and intensity monitoring with KISA reveals mode hops during laser current tuning—changes that intensity measurements alone can miss.
A 670 nm diode laser was tested through two up-and-down drive-current ramps while KISA recorded wavelength and intensity simultaneously. The measurements revealed four transient mode-hop signatures, with wavelength jumps of up to 16.6 pm that were not apparent in the intensity trace alone.

Laboratory performance. OEM format.
Bring wavelength and power monitoring directly into your equipment. KISA makes laser drift, power fluctuations, and changes during operation visible within your own system, with the same measurement specifications as the corresponding laboratory configuration.
We work with you to identify a suitable configuration for your wavelength range, measurement needs, and integration requirements.
